We engineered the SB344S with a 2 kW (2000 Watt) Balboa heating element running on a standard 13 Amp Plug & Play supply. You can simply plug it into a suitable outdoor socket on day one. If you later decide you want to upgrade to a dedicated 20 Amp connection (allowing the heater and 3 HP pump to run at full boost simultaneously), the internal Balboa BP200 system features a quick switchover function.
