Which one is right for you?

PortaPlunge, the easy way in

The simplest and cheapest way to start. A drop-stitch pool that inflates firm, fills with water and cools with ice you add yourself. It sets up in minutes, needs no power and packs into a bag, so it travels and stores easily.

Pick by how many people and how often: CUBE and SOLO for one, TWIN for two, and TEAM for groups and teams.

Worth knowing: you add and top up ice each time, and the water is not chilled automatically. If you plan to plunge every day, a chiller may work out easier.

Solo, set it and forget the ice

A one-person tub with a built-in chiller. Set your target temperature and it holds it, so every session is the same and there is no ice to buy or melt. Plug-and-play, with a compact outdoor footprint.

Three finishes: standard, grey and red wood.

Worth knowing: it is a fixed install in one spot, and it is sold on enquiry so we can check delivery and placement with you first.

Icefall, the full 0°C experience

The top of the range. A 500W refrigeration chiller takes the water to a true 0°C, where many home plunges struggle to drop below 3°C or 4°C. Set anywhere from 0°C to 15°C in 1°C steps on a waterproof touchscreen, and use the scheduler to have it pre-cooled up to four days ahead. Ozone and multi-stage filtration keep the water clean for frequent daily use.

See the full spec on the Icefall product page.

Worth knowing: it is the priciest option and designed for one person. You are paying for the coldest water and the least day-to-day effort.

Even better with heat

Plenty of people pair cold with heat and go back and forth, warm through then plunge cold. If that is the routine you are after, take a look at our saunas and hot tubs to build the full set-up.

Common questions

Do I need to add ice?

It depends on the type. A PortaPlunge is cooled with ice you add yourself. The Solo and Icefall have a built-in chiller, so you set a temperature and they hold it with no ice at all.

How cold does a cold plunge get?

An ice-cooled plunge is as cold as the ice you put in. A chiller tub like the Solo holds the temperature you set. The Icefall goes furthest, down to a true 0°C, where many home plunges stop around 3°C or 4°C.

Do I need special wiring or plumbing?

No. The PortaPlunge needs no power at all. The Solo and Icefall run from a standard plug socket, with no special wiring or plumbing to fit.

Can I use one indoors?

Yes. All of them have a compact footprint that suits a patio, balcony, garage or home gym. The Icefall is built to run quietly, which helps indoors.

How do I keep the water clean?

The Icefall uses ozone and filtration to keep the water fresh for daily use. With the others you change or treat the water as needed, and we can point you to the right sanitiser.

Which should I buy?

If you are not sure, tell us your budget, your space and how often you will plunge. We will talk you through it with no pressure. Call 0800 037 0803 or email the team.

Is cold water therapy safe for everyone?

Cold immersion is not for everyone. Ease in gradually, never plunge alone if you are new to it, and check with your doctor first if you are pregnant or have a heart condition or any other health concern. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
